While everyone prepares for one of the biggest matches in Triple H vs Sting, many are wondering if we’ll see the return of Sheamus at WrestleMania 31. It was rumored that you will see him return in the Intercontinental Title ladder match, but at one time Sheamus as considered a young buck who was viewed as the future of the WWE or at least he thought so when he faced the veteran Triple H at WrestleMania 26 in Glendale, Arizona. You see Sheamus was trying to make a name for himself by going after the biggest dog in the yard who was clearly Triple H, but was he willing to risk it all for a chance at glory.
Sheamus started the match by taunting Triple H and screaming that he was the future of the WWE, but Triple H would return the favor by slapping Sheamus right in the face. That only infuriated the Celtic warrior and it took him off his game a little as Triple H almost locked in the pedigree in the beginning of the match. That didn’t deter him at all as he was able to gain control by hitting Triple H with some vicious knees and punches that hitting their mark. Sheamus would dominate most of the match with submission holds and backbreakers and even though Triple H would gain some steam, Sheamus was there to cut him off. At one point in the match, it looked like Sheamus was going to win the match after he was able to hit the game with his patent Brogue Kick, but he would make a fatal error. As he was trying to go for a powerbomb, Triple H was able to get out of it and he would hit Sheamus with his pedigree. The rest is history as Triple H gained a victory in his 14TH appearance at WrestleMania.
