2015 Female Wrestler Of The Year, 2015 Male Wrestler Of The Year, 5TH Annual Monster Entertainment Awards, Awards, Money In The Bank, Nikki Bella, Paige, Seth Rollins, Wrestlemania 31, Wrestling, WWE
The results of the 5TH annual Monster Entertainment Awards are in (you can view them here) which means that the male and female wrestler of the year awards have been announced. Going into this year, we were guaranteed a new winner on the male side while Paige and Velvet Sky had a chance to snag a second win. It was a very tight race on the female side as Paige had to fend off a re-surging Nikki Bella who came close to tying Paige as far as votes were concerned. As far as the men were concerned, Seth Rollins had the win right from the start as he dominated the category and rightfully so. Seth Rollins had a break out year in 2015 when he cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, if it wasn’t for an untimely injury, he would probably still be champion today. Nevertheless, he is your 2015 Male Wrestler Of The Year while Paige two-peats as Female Wrestler Of The Year.

inFor today’s Ass Whoopin Wednesday film, I chose a film that I wanted to check out for a while when I heard that WWE wrestler Dean Ambrose was the latest to get into films. Dean is the latest to star in 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown which he plays a troubled Detective named Shaw. Dean is returning to the job for the first time in months after the death of his partner. While on the job, he discovers some corruption in the precinct involving a former partner and he decides to investigate it. Detective Burke (Roger R. Cross), the corrupt cop gets wind of what Shaw is doing and to protect his own behind, he puts the whole building into lockdown and he hunts Shaw. Shaw only has 12 rounds in his gun to help defend himself while he tries to figure out a way to get the evidence out. The…

inThe WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,000 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 50 trips to carry that many people.

inWhether you a wrestling fan or not, yesterday the world lost a true icon of the sports entertainment field when Roderick George Toombs a.k.a Rowdy Roddy Piper at the age of 61 due to cardiac arrest. Rowdy Roddy Piper best known as Hot Rod as well was an innovator in the field of wrestling playing what I always believed as the perfect heel (bad guy) in what was known as the WWF at the time (WWE now). One of the most iconic moments that I can remember was the time he cracked a coconut over the head of “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka during a segment of Piper’s Pit. I also remember the time he sprayed talk show big mouth Morton Downey Jr. with a fire extinguisher at WrestleMania V. Hot Rod also had the balls to get into the face of big time actor Mr. T on more than one occasion for…

inDidn’t give a flying fuck about R-Truth vs. King Barrett. Seriously, enough of this shit.
I thought the same shit about Orton vs. Sheamus although St. Louis thought differently since Orton is from there. The RKO to Sheamus was anticlimatic. A bad “out of nowhere”.
The tag team title match between the Prime Time Players taking on The New Day was decent.
Surprised how much time Reigns and Wyatt got but I was kind of suprised at this match. It was good and it seemed the crowd was into it.
The diva’s triple threat with Charlotte, Sasha and Brie was good. Glad they kept Brie to a minimum in this one. I feared they would give her the match but luckily it was Flair who got the submission victory.
I thought the Cena and Owens match was match of the night for sure. I was more of a fan of…

in– Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman started the show. A little odd to see Heyman do face-promos although its basically the same thing. Crowd wasn’t too crazy about him bringing up Brock breaking the streak. Decent promo to open the show.
– Didn’t want Big Show vs. Ryback. Miz was on commentary and looked like he got involved.
– Didn’t want Paige vs. Brie Bella with he sister and adopted sister.
– Definitely did NOT watch Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus. Fucking can not watch a Sheamus match in 2015. His “are you not entertained” line makes me insane. Bray caused the count out… sigh. Orton came out after and RKO’d Sheamus… Looking forward to this match even LESS.
– Hunter convinces Seth Rollins to call out Brock tonight.
– Rusev and Summer cut a promo on Ziggler and Lana before they came out. Long story short, Rusev isn’t injured anymore…
